A day countdown application, Şafak displays the number of days, or "dawns", remaining until the selected date. When the day count is below the number of cities of Turkey, it is shown with the name of the city having that license plate number (a tradition among soldiers in the Turkish military). Beautiful photographs depicting a landmark of the cities accompany each day.
